From the CRNBC website this is an exciting announcement.
Clearly, there is much duplication of services & expenses with the current model of 3 separate colleges. Have on college and within that specific departments/branches for the individual professional makes much more sense. In Ontario, there is the College of Nurses that has great success with the one provincial college model for protecting the public and registrant for the nurses.
The LPNABC supports the concept of one regulatory college for all nurses in British Columbia.

I totally agree. I find our college needs to get up to date on a few things.
One, for me, is Footcare Nursing . I don’t believe I should have to have a Dr.’s order for my residents in LTC , when I am working side by side with an RN footcare nurse in the same building, at the same time. The RN footcare nurse I work for ,doesn’t require an order.
